Welcome to the Pullin Piano Studio! Inside you will find information and pictures describing the life of the Studio as we explore the world of music through the piano.
December 3, 2023
This semester has flown by quickly! We went from getting back into the grove of piano lessons last August to preparing for Fall Festival/Halloween then jumped immediately into learning Christmas/Holiday music. Besides learning their music, students have been involved in pit orchestras for high school musicals, athletics, band and orchestra, and dance. Whew!
This coming week is the last week of private lessons before the Christmas Break. Next week is our Elementary Mini-Recitals and Secondary Christmas Group/Party/Recital. The Elementary Mini-Recital has been divided in half so as to accommodate various elementary schools' Christmas programs. See this link for the December UPDATED Schedule:
2024 Spring Semester
The Studio opens on January 8th for Private Lessons to start another busy semester. The Studio plans to participate in the NAMTA Mall Marathon, OMTA District Achievement Auditions and, for those who qualify, OMTA State Achievement Auditions. We close out the 2024 Spring Semester with one May recital on Sunday afternoon, May 19th at 3:00 p.m.
The past 35 years, the Studio was large enough to schedule at least two recitals (with one notable exception at the Fred Jones Art Museum). As the Studio decreases in size (to gradually prepare for my retirement), I am going back to one recital. PLEASE MARK THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR now. I will no longer have two recitals to switch students. I try to work around students' extra curricular activities throughout the year; I am asking that you work with me to assure your student(s) will be at the recital.

COVID STUDIO PROTOCOL UPDATE
- Masks will now be optional. Parents, please let me know if you still want teacher and student to be masked during lessons.
- ALL students will still use hand sanitizer upon arriving at the Studio.
- If a student has a cough and/or fever, that student should NOT come to his/her lesson. When in doubt, text me; we will decide on the best course of action.
- If a family member or a student has tested positive, I should be contacted immediately. That student will then be taught virtually until either the quarantine is over or the student recovers.
🎵 Merry Christmas! 🎵
Remember, according to Studio Policies: Refunds or credits will not be given for lessons or classes missed or canceled by the student. When the student has a conflict, please notify me as soon as possible. Two days prior notice for school events are necessary to qualify for a makeup lesson.
Illness: If a student does not go to school the day of his lesson due to illness, he/she should NOT come to piano lesson! Parents should notify me of the student’s illness; there will be two makeup days scheduled during the semester for those missed lessons. Lessons madeup for illnesses will be limited to two a semester.
