From Mrs. Pullin's Desk
Six weeks! Only six more weeks before the end of school! Only FIVE more weeks until OMTA State and Studio Recitals. That means a lot of studying for end of year tests, turning in school projects, practice for State, practice for Studio Recitals, and last but definitely not least, end of school year concerts, sports tournaments, school club activities and, for the two seniors in the Studio, Graduation! Somehow, students (some with parental guidance) need to plan their practice sessions so as to prepare for OMTA State (if participating) and Spring Recitals.
NOTE: Tuesday, April 7th: ALL lessons will be moved to Friday, April 10th and will follow the regular Tuesday schedule. I am a precinct worker and have been assigned to work the election on the 7th. Since the polls open at 7:00 am and close at 7 pm, since I have to be there 30 minutes early and stay until all the ballots are secured, I will not be able to teach my Tuesday schedule. Please notify me if you cannot make the the Friday scheduled lesson.
OMTA Moore/Norman District Achievement Auditions
Congratulations! Bravo! My students are so outstanding!! Every student who participated in District Achievement Auditions qualified for State! I am so proud of every one of you!
Studio State audition times will be released to teachers on May 1st. I plan to have audition times posted on this website by May 2nd; individual email with State audition times will also be sent.
Mystery Composer Packets
All students should have started on their written assignments found in their packets. Unfortunately, Mrs. P did not get the listening assignments finished last week; they are completed and can be found at this link.
May Spring Recitals
Spring Recitals are fast approaching. Please check out the updated schedule (and further information) at this link. If you need to change your recital date, please let me know as soon as possible!
This is the home stretch of the semester--stay focused, keep your practice habits strong, and enjoy the music you are creating!

COVID/FLU STUDIO PROTOCOL
- Masks will now be optional. Parents, please let me know if you want teacher and student to be masked during lessons.
- ALL students will use hand sanitizer upon arriving at the Studio.
- If a student has a cough and/or fever, that student should NOT come to his/her lesson. When in doubt, text me; we will decide on the best course of action.
- If a family member or a student has tested positive for Covid, I should be contacted immediately. That student will then be taught virtually until either the quarantine is over or the student recovers.
🎵 Happy Spring! 🎵
Remember, according to Studio Policies: Refunds or credits will not be given for lessons or classes missed or canceled by the student. When the student has a conflict, please notify me as soon as possible. Two days prior notice for school events are necessary to qualify for a makeup lesson.
Illness: If a student does not go to school the day of his lesson due to illness, he/she should NOT come to piano lesson! Parents should notify me of the student’s illness; there will be two makeup days scheduled during the semester for those missed lessons. Lessons madeup for illnesses will be limited to two a semester.
