May 2026 Spring Recitals

April 30, 2026

From Mrs. Pullin's Desk
Time is flying! Next Week (May 4 - 7) is the last week of lessons! Oh My!!   End of year tests, school projects,  State, Studio Recitals, are just around the corner.  We are in the middle of end of school year concerts, sports tournaments, school club activities and, for the two seniors in the Studio, Graduation!  Somehow, students (some with parental guidance) need to plan their practice sessions so as to prepare for OMTA State (if participating) and Spring Recitals.

OMTA State Achievement Auditions
Studio State audition times have been released.  Individual emails have been sent with State audition times and rooms.  Parents/Students are also receiving  a weekly friendly reminder of just how many lessons they have left before State and Recitals.   State information, including audition times and  room numbers, may be found here. pps_state_schedule.pdf

May Spring Recitals
Spring Recitals are fast approaching.  Please check out the updated schedule (and further information) at this link.  If you need to change your recital date, please let me know as soon as possible!

This is the home stretch of the semester--stay focused,  keep your practice habits strong, and enjoy the music you are creating!

Summer Lessons
All elementary students are required to take a minimum of three summer lessons; secondary students are strongly encouraged to sign up for a minimum of two lessons. Registration forms for Summer Lessons and further information is at this Link.  Registration forms are due May 22 or you may bring them to  your May Recital.  Here we go!

2026-2027 Academic Year Registration
It's also that time of year when plans need to be made for returning students of the 2026-2027 academic year.  Please find registration forms here; while due June 1st, you may bring them to your May Recital.  If you have any questions, please email me!

COVID/FLU STUDIO PROTOCOL
  • Masks will now be optional.   Parents, please let me know if you want teacher and student to be masked during lessons.
  • ALL students will  use hand sanitizer upon arriving at the Studio.
  • If a student has a cough and/or fever, that student should NOT come to his/her lesson.  When in doubt, text me; we will decide on the best course of action.
  • If a family member or a student has tested positive for Covid, I should be contacted immediately.  That student will then be taught virtually until either the quarantine is  over or the student recovers.

🎵 Happy Spring! 🎵

Remember, according to Studio Policies:
Refunds or credits will not be given for lessons or classes missed or canceled by the student.   When the student has a conflict, please notify me as soon as possible.  Two days prior notice for school events are necessary to qualify for a makeup lesson.
Illness:  If a student does not go to school the day of his lesson due to illness, he/she should NOT come to piano lesson!  Parents should notify me of the student’s illness; there will be two makeup days scheduled during the semester for those missed lessons.  Lessons madeup for illnesses will be limited to two a semester.
