Catlett Music Center
1. Check in is at the registration table inside the main entrance to Catlett Music Center's Kerr Gothic Hall off Elm Avenue. Please allow 30 minutes for check in/finding your audition room. BE SURE YOUR FORMS ARE ON YOUR MUSIC; THIS IS YOUR TICKET! YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PERFORM WITHOUT IT.
2. Parking for 2024 has CHANGED. The parking garage immediately south of Catlett will be closed due to construction. Be prepared to spend extra time looking for parking. The last page of this link is a map of suggested parking areas.
3. Audition Room numbers beginning with a "0" will be on the lower level/ground floor, room numbers beginning with a "1" will be on the main level/first floor, and room numbers beginning with a "2" will be on the upper level/second floor.
4. After your audition, please proceed to the band room where your score will be recorded and you will receive any awards you have earned.
5. Parents, please take a picture of your student with any awards and/or critique sheet then text or email them to me at (405) 312-3433 or [email protected]. (These pictures are used for students' senior gifts).
6. As an OMTA Board member, I will be working both Friday and Saturday at OMTA. This year I am in charge of Food Service for the entire event. This means I will arrange for and set up continental breakfasts, lunches as well as morning and afternoon snacks on both days. I may or may not be available to see students after your audition. I have my students' schedule and will make every effort to meet with you briefly.
7. All parents (and/or high school students) should either scan or take a photo of your student's critique sheet and text it to me at 405-312-3433. I must have copies of these critique sheets whenever I apply for any awards a student may qualify for.
8. Saturday performers: Once again the College of Pharmacy will hold their OU Commencement ceremony at Catlett Music Center in Sharp Hall Saturday morning. Metal detectors will be in place in the morning; all persons entering Catlett are required to follow the OU Ceremonies Carry-In Policy. (See this link.)
9. Bring any ribbons/awards to your recital either Sunday, May 19th or Monday, May 20th. I will "present" these to students at the end of the recital. Please put a piece of tape with your name on it on the back/bottom of the award.
